Àlex Jiménez (Barcelona, 1982) is a designer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a technical engineer in Industrial Design from Elisava. Founder and director of Nutcreatives since 2011, he has established his studio as a benchmark in product design and environmental consultancy, applying principles of sustainability and circular economy in sectors such as furniture, lighting, packaging, and signage. In 2024, he co-founded SURU, a furniture and lighting brand that merges local craftsmanship with circular innovation, prioritizing recycled and biodegradable materials. In addition to his professional work, Àlex teaches at institutions such as UPC, IED Barcelona, and Eina, and collaborates with organizations like the Catalan Waste Agency and Ambit Cluster. His multidisciplinary approach and strong commitment to ecodesign position him as a key voice in transforming design towards more responsible and regenerative models.
