Whilst I have spent the vast majority of my career associated with the energy industry - whether that be oil, gas or green energy, data, operations or tech product management - the common thread has been change and transformation.
Transformation initiatives fail for a multitude of reasons – lack of sponsorship, lack of investment, underestimation of effort….to name a few. I believe there is no single ‘template’ for transformation – that by engaging with the business at all levels, understanding the prize they are pursuing for the future and helping them to learn from their past – can I design and deliver major transformational change, ‘keep the lights on’ and maintain an engaged and motivated team.
