Marianne Janik, born in 1965 in Konstanz, is a French/German lawyer who has made significant strides in the tech industry over the past decade. She began her career at Daimler Benz AG in Public Affairs before moving to an EADS subsidiary where she initially took over the contract department and then the sales area for government, military, and industrial customer business.

In July 2015, Janik took on the role of Country General Manager for Microsoft Switzerland. During her tenure, she successfully led the opening of two data centers in Geneva and Zurich. She has been instrumental in driving the IT industry's development in Switzerland, working closely with EPFL and ETH.
In November 2020 Marianne Janik took over the responsibility for Microsoft Germany and she became the Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Microsoft Germany.
Janik is a strong advocate for digital transformation, particularly in the areas of innovation, security, and education. She was a member of the Presidium of the Bitkom industry association and a Member of the Board of Directors of AmCham Germany.
Over the past decade, Janik has shown a high interest in platform ecosystems. Her vision is to make companies more resilient to operational impacts through digitalization. Her contributions have been pivotal in shaping the digital landscape and she continues to drive progress in all relevant areas.
